Design training in easy steps	This module is a part of the introductory online course “Data Steward Training”. In this course learners will develop the skills and gain knowledge on how to be a successful data steward. By the end of this module, learners will: Understand the role of pedagogy and learning activities to teach effectively. Be able to critically assess the reasons for organising training activities. Be able to create training which meets their aims and the needs of their learners. This module is suitable for data stewards and trainers seeking introductory learning material. It will take on average one hour to complete the module. The materials include a video presentation, a full video transcript, a PowerPoint presentation and various learning activities and resources to support learning. This learning material has been developed in collaboration with the FAIRsFAIR and EOSC Synergy projects. The majority of the material has been used in previous online data steward instructor training workshops in 2020 and 2021.
Applied Language Technology	These learning materials consist of a two-course module that seeks to provide humanities majors with a basic understanding of language technology and the practical skills needed to apply language technology using Python. The module is intended to empower the students by showing that language technology is both accessible and applicable to research in the humanities. Teaching ideas: Guides for teaching data analysis	This resource is a collection of short guides designed to make lesson planning more efficient for those teaching data analysis skills. Drawing on real classroom experiences, each guide includes suggested research questions, dataset and exercises: Gender differences in sexual attitudes (PDF) (using the National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles). Risk factors associated with increased levels of systolic blood pressure (PDF) (using the Health Survey for England). The gender gap in life satisfaction (PDF) (using the Opinions and Lifestyle Survey). Public confidence in the police (PDF) (using the Crime Survey for England and Wales).
Building skills in quantitative methods and statistical software	A collection of quantitative methods e-books and accompanying quizzes for direct use in teaching students or for self-study. E-books aim to build skills in quantitative methods and statistical software and use the Living Costs and Food Survey. The e-books have been developed through a collaboration of the UK Data Service, National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM), and the Centre for Multi-Level Modelling at the University of Bristol and were created using the StatJR software based on original outputs from the project Using Statistical E-books to teach undergraduate students quantitative methods and statistical software funded by the British Academy.
Delivering Research Data Management Services	This is a five-week course for individuals that support researchers to manage and share their data, including librarians, IT and information specialists, data stewards, and research office staff. You’ll discover common research support services, how to create data management plans, and how to develop your own research data management roadmap. You will learn from experts in the field from the internationally-recognised Digital Curation Centre and Research Data Netherlands and build your confidence in supporting researchers and preserving data. This course has been certified by the CPD Certification Service as conforming to continuing professional development principles.

Multimodal Literacies	This course for graduate students invites you to discover the world of the digital multimodal literacies, by history, examples, experiments and editing tools. In the last lesson, you will be able to build your own multimodal editing tool, an eTalk.
Synergy Train the Trainer Programme	Massive open online courses platform. This service is based on the worldwide most popular Moodle platform. Platform provides interactive courses capabilities with user forums to support community interactions among students and tutors as well as immediate feedback to quick quizzes and assignments.

UK Data Service: Survey and Census Data	This source includes a series of resources in the form of guides and e-books dedicated to trainers and students interested in sample design, weighting, changes over time using cross sectional and longitudinal data and mapping census data using different software.
UK Data Service: Data Skills	This source includes interactive modules designed for users who want to get to grips with key aspects of survey, longitudinal and aggregate data as well as tools that can be used to assess and improve data quality. Modules can be conducted in your own time and you are able to dip in and out when needed. The modules give an introduction to key aspects of the data using short instructional videos, interactive quizzes and activities using open access software where possible. Tools include guides, documentation and exercises.
