The ambition is to create a social science laboratory where theoretical questions can be explored using high quality empirical data.The resource is based on the European Social Survey. There are 10 subtopics and all of them would be useful to be included. The texts and data available from ESS EduNet are available without restrictions, for not-for-profit purposes. The producers (NSD and the ESS), the authors and the dataproducer should be cited.

Privacy in Research. What does the GDPR mean for your work as a researcher?

Online dutch module on privacy research and GDPR is developed for researchers who are associated with a university or university of applied sciences. It consists of three sections: You will work through three research cases, each with a short quiz to test your current knowledge of the GDPR;You will get to know various aspects of the GDPR, such as the DPIA, ‘Privacy by Design’ and the six rules of thumb; Using three scenarios, you will learn which criteria determine an important part of the measures within a study.

Online Digital Preservation Training

Part of The National Archives’ new digital capacity building strategy, ‘Plugged In, Powered Up,’ the Novice to Know-How learning pathway aims to provide beginners with the skills required to develop and implement simple digital preservation workflows within their organisation. It starts with a broad introduction to digital preservation issues and describes the measures we can take to address these. It then delves into potential workflows in more detail, examining the issues to consider, steps to take, and technological solutions that can deployed. An emphasis is placed on free, easy-to-use solutions, and includes detailed demos of how to use the key tool, DROID. Course content is provided as mix of video, text, and quizzes.

How to FAIR: a Danish website to guide researchers on making research data more FAIR

A website from the Danish National Forum for Research Data Management. Concept of research data management. Three fundamental concepts: the FAIR principles, FAIR data, and FAIRification practices. Presentation of FAIRification practices for research data, i.e. documentation, file formats, metadata, access to data, persistent identifiers, and data licences. To aid other research supporters and research data managers, the authors have copied over the entire content of their e-Learning website: https://www.howtoFAIR.dk to Zenodo record. Transcripts of all videos, and the text on each page and sub-page are available on Zenodo in the DOCX file for use in trainers own teaching materials. Scratch: Programming for Teachers

In this course you will learn the basics of programming and how to teach it yourself as a primary or secondary school teacher.

This MOOC teaches programming in Scratch through fun videos which explain programming in an inspiring and clear way. These videos are accompanied by assignments which let kids practice programming and create programs they will like to use themselves!

Every week you build a different Scratch project yourself: a flappy bird game, a virtual pet or a Mondriaan like artwork.
