This repository contains resources (links to training, policies, best practices, and other information) that enable Belmont Forum researchers to meet the Data Management expectations described in the Data and Digital Objects Management Plan, as well as a step-by-step guide to completing the DDOMP at the stages of pre-proposal, full proposal, and awarded projects. "Toolkit Training" video tutorials are available on YouTube for information about the material featured here and the structure of the site.

Copyright gives legal protection to the creators of certain kinds of work so that they can control the way they may be exploited. Copyright law in the UK is governed by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, as amended. Under the Act, copyright subsists in the following works:

• Literary works, which includes song lyrics, tables, street directories and letters as well as literature in the more commonly accepted sense of the term. Computer programs are also included in the category of literary works.
• Dramatic works, including dance and mime.
• Musical works.
• Artistic works, including graphic works, sculptures, maps, photographs (irrespective of artistic quality), architecture and works of artistic craftsmanship.
• Sound recordings.
• Films, including videos.
• Broadcasts, including cable programmes.
• Published editions, i.e. the typographical layout of a literary dramatic or musical work. So, the content of a recently published edition of a work written many years ago could be out of copyright, but the 'typographical arrangement' would not.

ALLEA regularly produces a wide range of scientific and science-policy publications and recommendations, webinars and events responding to on-going issues and debates, in anticipation of upcoming challenges at the science-society-policy interface.

ICPSR is the world's largest archive of digital social science data. They acquire, preserve, and distribute original research data and provide training in its analysis. They also offer access to publications based on their data holdings.The training resources were created especially for undergraduate faculty and students. While any of ICPSR's data and tools can be used in the classroom, the ones provided on their webpage make it easy for instructors to set up data-driven learning experiences. The materials can be used as the basis for assignments, as an in-class or study exercise, for lecture content, or any other way you see fit. All resources are provided under a Creative Commons (attribution) License.

RDA offers a series of training webinars, face-to-face workshops, hackathons/datathons partly organized as “summer schools” and special meetings on request. The topics will be primarily related with RDA recommendations and outputs, but it will also address general topics facilitating data sharing and re-use, interviews with notable people and information sessions such as reports from RDA plenaries.

A variety of courses and webinars available upon registration. Some of them are free of charge. Main topics include: Data and responsibility, big data, data for business analytics, data in the public sector, data ecosystem mapping, sharing data, data skills, applying machine learning and AI techniques to data, data ethics

ICPSR has a number of video presentations that address a variety of topics on their YouTube Channel. Including Drs. Dave Armstrong's and Christian Davenport's video on a real-world example of data visualization using Shiny. They discuss conceptualization and measurement of conflict in quantitative data and demonstrate how to produce graphics to convey their findings. 

This webinar will convene a group of experts representing national science organizations to discuss their current initiatives to enhance the FAIRness of the science within their communities applying different approaches and the use of the FAIR Data Maturity Model as a framework for comparing results. The RDA FAIR Data Maturity Model Working Group has developed a common set of core assessment criteria for FAIRness and a generic and expandable self-assessment model for measuring the maturity level of a dataset. The aim of this group is not to develop yet another FAIR assessment approach but to build on existing initiatives, looking at common elements and allowing the group to identify core elements for the evaluation of FAIRness.
